While there are many motels and bed & breakfast in Fredericksburg, they do fill up rapidly. Do not arrive without room reservations! Make your reservations early!

No camping on site, but there are plenty of camping options in the area. Please book your reservation early as spaces are limited. Gate entry fee: Friday $10; Saturday $12; Sunday $10 or best deal is the 3 day pass $20. Children under 12 are free.
Show Hours: Friday – September 24, noon to 6 pm; Saturday – September 25, 9 am to 6 pm; Sunday -September 26, 9 am to 3 pm
There are special tours and workshops available for an additional cost.
Roundup is held in downtown Fredericksburg, 101 W. Main Street.
The locals refer to the site as Marktplatz or Market Square.
Join us for a fun, competitive RC controlled Solar Car Race
The Renewable Energy Roundup Solar Race will be held Saturday, September 25 at 3 pm. The grounds will be ‘buzzing’ with excitement as teams gather to compete for our first annual competition.
Individuals or teams consisting of Students, Adults and Businesses will compete for a cash purse. All competing business are encourage to brand their cars with logos.
Racing is at will. All cars must be powered by solar energy alone, the remote control can be battery powered. Car dimensions must be a minimum of 8 x 15 and maximum 15 x24.
One free admission on (Saturday, Sept. 25) permitted with each solar car.
Fredericksburg is located in the heart of the hill country 80 miles from Austin or San Antonio.
From San Antonio - take I 10 to Hwy 87. Hwy 87 North at Comfort all the way to Fredericksburg. Drive time from the Airport is about 1.5 hours. Upon Arrival to Fredericksburg stay on Hwy 87 until you reach "Main Street" - the intersection of Hwy 290. Turn left West, (The Nimitz Museum will be straight ahead).. go 3 blocks. Roundup Grounds will be on your right. Look for all the tents and such.
From Austin - Take Hwy 290 West all the way to Fredericksburg. Through Dripping Springs, Johnson City and Stonewall. From downtown the drive is about 1.5 hours. Upon entering Fredericksburg Hwy. 290 is 'Main Street'. Keep a heading West, as you enter the heart of downtown Market Square - ie Roundup will be on your right.
Parking is free and along the street.
It gets congested, allow a little extra time for a leisurely stroll down the street.
